THE KINGFISHER TRAIL

The Kingfisher Trail is an 11 mile recreational route which connects the rural West Pennine Moors to the urban communities of Bolton, Bury and Salford. The route provides a recreation resource which has the potential to be regionally important for people, wildlife and heritage.

The trail passes through Moses Gate and alongside the Darcy Lever Gravel Pits. Although GPAG operates independently in managing the Gravel Pits, the opportunity to work with the Lancashire Wildlife Trust in collaboration with other volunteer groups allows those of us who care about our heritage and wildlife the chance to all be apart of something big.
