Amphibians are ectothermic, tetrapod vertebrates of the class Amphibia.

 

Modern amphibians are all Lissamphibia. They inhabit a wide variety of habitats with most species living within terrestrial, fossorial, arboreal or freshwater aquatic ecosystems
